Why you’ll love this recipe!
What ingredients do I need?
- Apples – Fresh apples bring natural sweetness and a crisp, juicy texture that softens beautifully when cooked.
- Brown Sugar – Adds rich, caramel-like sweetness that deepens the flavor of the apples.
- Cinnamon – Warm and aromatic, it enhances the cozy fall notes in every bite.
- Butter – Helps caramelize the apples and adds a silky, buttery richness throughout.
- Cream Cheese – The base of the cheesecake—smooth, tangy, and ultra-creamy.
- Granulated Sugar – Balances the tang of the cream cheese and sweetens the filling just right.
- Vanilla Bean Paste – Adds a fragrant, pure vanilla flavor with beautiful flecks of vanilla bean.
- Sour Cream – Adds a gentle tang and keeps the cheesecake light and creamy.
- Heavy Cream – Whipped in for an airy, luxurious texture.
- Salt – A small pinch enhances every flavor and keeps the sweetness perfectly balanced.

Recipe Variations
- Try using pears instead of apples!
- Have fun with the dippers you use. Cookies, crackers, fruits, fried pie dough!
- Try adding in pumpkin pie spice too!
Pro Tips
- Dice the apples small. This helps with the cook time and is much easier for people to scoop and eat.
- I love this with the apples served warm. So serve right away and heat them up briefly if they were made ahead and placed in the fridge.
- Slowly drizzle in the heavy cream while beating. And then make sure to beat it for a few minutes to thicken it up, it truly makes a difference!
Leftovers and Storage
- This is a great to make ahead recipe! However, if you are not serving it right away then I would store the apples and cheesecake separately and then combine right before serving!
- Cover and store in the fridge up to 4-5 days.
- I promise, there will be no leftovers!
